V-Filt

With a limited house budget i confronted my kids with a choice. You can have internet or television, guess what, I have no television at home! So yesterday night staring at the wall i decided to reuse some old DSP code and created a DJ like filter for Koblo Studio. Here it is, Brian will include it in the next release, I have no clue when there is time for a windows build.

New Koblo Studio for OSX - lots of new features!

We've uploaded a new build of the Koblo Studio, which is looking QUITE nice! Check out the changelog:

Build 2362, September 15th, 2008

Many new features in this build!

- Playhead may now be moved freely by clicking in the bars/beats section at the top of the track window.
- The playhead may be jumped to the location of the Mouse pointer by clicking "P".
- The playhead location may be zoomed in on by clicking "O".
- The Export menu is populated and allows for different selections to export audio. Some bugs are being worked out.
- The Export for Web feature is populated, and being worked on.
- The wave import window under file/import is populated and being worked on.
- Various GUI changes.
- Adds the trim tool - hotkey is "2".
- Adds the Cut tool - Hotkey is "4".
- Waveform drawing is lighter.
- Adds button to show/hide waveforms.
- Loops snap to grid implemented. Make a selection, then hit "K", and the selected area may be looped.

Koblo Studio Fileformat

The Koblo multitrack track format is ready!

The Compression really did the work as it should, sound quality is way better than mp3!

The size went down from 300 mByte down to 20 mByte.

Now we are talking online collaboration and track sharing.

for the builders the project is available for test.

Waveform drawing

I woke up to a great surprise this morning. On my dashboard was a note from Michael about Waveform drawing was done, before I got my pans on I checked out the source code from SVN and compiled it and here is the what I saw in front of me. GREAT together with playback of stereo files the next build will be really useful

New Koblo Studio version for OS X - 0.1 a2248

Hi everyone,

I've uploaded a new build of the Koblo Studio, 0.1 a2248 for OS X. You can find it under the studio section. This build introduces a lot of new features:

- Playhead may now be dragged to select playback point.
- Import of mp3 and ogg vorbis files is established, as well as import of both 16 and 24 bit .wav files.
- Plug-ins have been refined.
- Transport is expanded.
- Tools are refined.
- Keyboard shortcuts are implemented (see manual entry).
- Looping of audio region (still being worked on).
